Vine

By: Danielle Lopez     Feb. 21, 2018

The most unexpected event happened to us, our online community lost the biggest social site today: VINE! Oh the tragic tale, it hurts but vines are still out there on the interwebs. There are compilations on Youtube that are mostly named “Rip Vine”. Nobody ever knew how much it meant to all of us. This will forever impact our lives, but here’s a little secret, there is to be a Vine 2.0! I know crazy right, the people spoke and the creators listened, the thing is we do not know when this Vine 2.0 will emerge from down under and catch us by surprise. This will be all about opportunity for everyone. Some will get famous, most will watch and laugh or cry, but this Vine 2.0 will give us a chance to laugh again and be happy. There are compilations out on Youtube called “Vines that keep me alive”. Many people of this generation today are depressed, which is sad, but I mean if the titles of these videos are true then this Vine 2.0 could help with those who might be in need of a
good laugh.

Viners such as Nash Grier, Curtis Lepore, Lele Pons, and many more became internet famous. Vine was first launched in January on the 24th of 2013, although this app was originally created for ios friendly devices. Vine was created in New York, founded by Dom Hofmann, Rus Yusupov, and Colin Kroll. Twitter originally bought vine for 30 million dollars, for it to be used on their social media site. Vine was so much of a hit on Twitter that the owners/creators of Vine decided to make Vine it’s own app, which lead to its huge blow up and has since created those lovely, funny, outrageous 6 second clips we know and love today. Here are just a few vine compilations to feed your hunger.

In conclusion Vine 2.0 is coming and we need to all learn to respect and use a Vine while we can, and as long as we can, so Vine will not have to rise from the dead ever again.
