Sir Robert Bryson Hall â…¡, better known by his rapper name Logic, has influenced many people including teens, young adults and adults. Logic is an American rapper who started to get popular in 2016 but became well known in 2017. Logic was born January 22, 1990. He lived with his mother who was addicted to alcohol, and his father who was addicted to cocaine. His father wasn’t in Logic’s life until he became famous. He was kicked out of school in the tenth grade and felt like they gave up on him. He started becoming a little popular when he released his first album, Young Frank Sinatra. When Logic released his album Everybody, he talked about the discrimination to all races and how the color of your skin determines something about you. But in his album, he wants to get rid of that. Logic’s albums, like Bobby Tarantino and his others, are all him telling his story and the stories of others. Then he released the song 1-800-273-8255. In this song he raps about suicide. When Logic was talking about 1-800-273-8255 to genius, he explained that all the verses are a conversation between a person calling a suicide hotline operator and saying they “wanna die” and they “don’t wanna be alive” but the operator tells them they should continue living because they have so much potential. When he performed this song at the Grammys the calls to national suicide prevention line tripled. And at his performance he brought on stage people who called the national suicide prevention line. Logic has advocated about preventing suicide and getting help if you have ever had thoughts about committing suicide or harming yourself. Chrissy Teigen is influential because of what she speaks out about. Chrissy Teigen was born on November 30,1985. She lived with both her parents who would move a lot. When Chrissy was a teen she was found by a photographer and from there she became famous from being on many shows and then marrying her husband John Legend. When she gave birth to her daughter Luna, she started sharing her struggles of postpartum depression, and to others she isn’t just a supermodel. She is a mother that others can relate too. She also doesn’t have high tolerance for haters as she has been seen responding to all the negative hate comments. Chrissy is a woman that many aspire to be, and she isn't afraid to share her struggles and thoughts on different topics. Chrissy is woman who stands up for other people. Like when she tweeted about paying the 100,000-fine so Mckayla Maroney could speak about the molestation that she faced.
3. Rihanna (Music Artist)
Rihanna is not just a music artist, but she is a woman who cares for others. Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born February 20,1988, and her career took off in 2003. Rihanna made a line called Fenty beauty, and by making this line she was able to bring a large collection of different foundations for all skin tones. Many dark-skinned women are praising her because they have found a foundation they can use. Rihanna believes that all colors of women should have foundation to wear, allowing them to not feel excluded from the others skin tones. She also wanted this product to be cheap, so that women aren’t paying a fortune for it. Rihanna also went on to create red lipstick that is flattering to all skin tones. Additionally, she went on to create highlight and concealer so all women can have makeup and do not feel excluded. Furthermore, Rihanna does not tolerate haters, as she responds back to hate comments and body shamers.
4. Gigi Gorgeous (Youtuber)
Gigi Gorgeous is a well-known trans woman, who is an online celebrity on the platform YouTube but is now on magazines and an ambassador for the makeup company Revlon. Gigi Gorgeous started becoming famous when she uploaded videos of herself doing makeup, and at that time she was still a man that hadn’t transitioned yet. She was born April 20, 1992, and she started on YouTube in 2008, becoming famous very quickly. She came out with her movie This is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous, which shows her journey of becoming a woman and all the hardships she has faced over the long journey to show where she is now. Gigi advocates for trans girls and boys and inspires them. Gigi hopes her story can encourage others to come and live their life openly and not in the closet. She wants people to be more open about boys and girls being trans, gay, or bisexual. Gigi is very open with her fan base and doesn’t hide who she is as a woman.
5. J.K Rowling (Book Author)
J.k Rowling is the author of the bestselling franchise Harry Potter. Joanne Rowling, best known as J.K. Rowling, was born on July 31, 1965. Rowling was working as a researcher and bilingual secretary for Amnesty International, and that’s when she came up with the idea of Harry Potter, and she wrote her first book in 1997 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Then her career took off with the Harry potter franchise. This year she has criticized Donald Trump and the statements he has been tweeting about. Like when Donald Trump tweeted about how the mayor of London was wrong for telling the citizens to remain calm, after which she responded with “It’s called ‘leadership’, Donald. The terrorists were…ect”. J.K Rowling has received a lot of backlash for taking on powerful figures. But she does not let that get to her. Her and Donald are have been feuding multiple times on twitter. Even though she receives a lot hate for talking ill of Donald Trump, she continues to talk about him because that’s her opinion of him. She is very influential because even though she receives a lot of backlash she continues to voice her opinion no matter the hate she gets.
