Too Faced Eyeshadow

There are many eyeshadows out there, from drugstore to luxury and from Flower Beauty to YSL. They all vary in name, price, and quality, so it’s easy to get lost in all the pigment. However, let’s talk about a brand that is worth the investment and the publicity it has. I tested these shadows in 2017 and I can say that these are some of my favorites.
Too Faced has exceptional eyeshadows. Their price tag is not exorbitantly high, as every palette is worth it and reasonable. Let’s take into account the Semi-Sweet palette that has an amazing range of colors. There are many taupes and browns that make it easy to create an everyday eyeshadow look. There are also many different finishes, such as matte pigments that are perfect for the crease. There are also shimmers that are excellent for face and eye highlights. Finally, there are glitters that are incredible for night-time looks or special events. This palette is overall perfect for anyone. Also, for sixteen eyeshadows, forty-nine dollars is reasonable as every eyeshadow is worth about three dollars, which is a fair price.
Nothing can be perfect though, as there are some flaws with this almost-bulletproof palette. One shade is extremely deceptive. It is the shadow Pink Sugar. At first, buyers will think it is a light, shimmer eyeshadow with glitter, however, it is very chunky and unpigmented. The shimmer shadows do not foil well, too. While their pigmentation is very good, I find that they are leaving something to be desired.
Nevertheless, there is another palette by Too Faced that I would highly recommend. It is the Natural Matte palette. If there are too many shimmers and glitters in other Too Faced palettes, then this one is a buyer’s holy grail, because all shadows in this palette are matte. Natural Matte has essential colors, such as a white pigment for setting the lid, a neutral taupe for defining the crease, and a deep brown for smoking things out naturally. However, there is so much variety in this palette as it focuses on peach and mauve colors. This is a staple for any beauty guru and makeup artist.
On the other hand, this cannot be the only palette someone has. There is only one finish, so dimension in eye looks will be extremely difficult to create with this palette alone. I would also strongly recommend against using some colors for medium to deep skin tones. This is because some shadows do not appear on the lid as they are too close to the user’s skin color. These specific shadows are highly pigmented, however they are ineffective. A shadow that does this to me every time I wear it is Honey Butter. It only shows up when I use a dense, packing brush and a lot of pigment. The price tag is also slightly unreasonable, as each shadow is four dollars because the palette is thirty-six dollars for nine eyeshadows. Even though the pans are deep, it might be too much for some consumers.
