January:
Mary Tyler Moore: She is most well known for
portraying Laura Petrie on the “Dick Van Dyke
show” and for having her own show “The Mary
Tyler Show”. She passed away at age 80.
Eugene Cernan: NASA astronaut who was on the
following crews: Gemini 9A (1966), Apollo 10
(1969), Apollo 17 (1972) and was the last man
on the moon. Cernan died at age 82.

February:
Neil Fingleton: He was the tallest British-born man at 7 feet and 7 inches tall. He was also in “47 Ronin” and “Jupiter Ascending.” Fingleton died at age 37 due to a heart attack.
Bill Paxton: Actor in several popular action movies, such as “Aliens” and “Predator 2”. Paxton died at age 61 because of a stroke.

March:
Chuck Berry: Singer and songwriter who wrote songs, such as “Johnny B. Goode”, and “Maybelline”. He is immortalized as a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Berry died at age 90 after going into Cardiac Arrest.

April:
Don Rickles: Comedian who was given the nickname ‘King of the Insults’, and starred in C.P.O. Sharkey. Rickles died at age 90 due to kidney failure.

May:
Chris Cornell: Frontman of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Co-frontman of Temple of the Dog. His music inspired many. Cornell died of a possible suicide at age 52.
​
June:
Adam West: Portrayed Batman in “Batman” in 1966, and he portrayed himself in “Family Guy” as the mayor of Quahog. West died at age 88 due to Leukemia.

July:
George A. Romero: Director of “Day of the Living Dead”, and “Dawn of the Dead” the first zombie movies. Romero died at age 77 because of lung cancer.
August:
Jerry Lewis: Comedian, and actor most well known for his roles in the “Bellboy”, and “Nutty Professor”, but also for his own show, Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. Lewis died at age 91 of Cardiovascular disease.
Haruo Nakajima: Played Godzilla in 12 different Godzilla movies. Nakajima died at age 88 of Pneumonia.

September:
Hugh Hefner: He was the publisher and editor-in-chief of the popular Playboy magazine. He also owned the Playboy mansion. Hefner died at age 91 because of natural causes.

October:
Tom Petty: Lead singer and songwriter of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Petty is also a 2002 inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He died at age 66 of a sudden heart attack.

November:
Malcolm Young: Co-Founder, rhythm guitarist, and backup singer of hit rock band ACDC. Young died because of early onset Alzheimer's.
​
December:
Danny Breen: Writer and producer of the “Wayne Brady Show” and one of the writers for the “Ellen DeGeneres Show”. Breen died at age 67 due to cancer.
